FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Do I need a makeup artist?  Can I even afford one?
A. Having your makeup done by a professional will ensure that your photographs will look best and timeless.  Even if you do your own makeup daily, makeup for photography is different and the products used are different.  Remember, these photos will last you a lifetime.  An added bonus is the feeling of being pampered on your special day.

Q. Do you do consultations / trials?
A. Absolutely!  I work specifically with you to create a customized and perfect look for your big day.  It's recommended to schedule a pre-wedding trial to discuss and try out your wedding look.  It's an opportunity for us to meet, get to know each other and know exactly the look you'll be getting so you can relax on your big day. 

Q. Do you come to me?
A. Yes.  I come to your location on both your consultation and wedding day.  Anywhere you feel the most comfortable getting ready, whether it's your home, hotel or church.

Q. Do you offer false lashes?  If so, are they included in the price?
A. Yes.  Although false lashes are optional, I do offer them.  They are included in the price for the bride only.

Q. I have sensitive skin / rosacea etc.  Are you able to cover it?
A. No problem at all.  I have lots of experience with all skin types and I'm very hygienic.  I use disposables such as mascara wands to apply mascara and product is always scooped out, never dipped into directly.

Q. Do you have my complexion color?
A. Absolutely!  I've been very fortunate to have worked with all types of people of different ethnicity and backgrounds.

Q. Do you do airbrush makeup?
A. Yes!  I provide airbrush for all bridal services (if desired).

Q. Do you offer hair/makeup services for my wedding party?
A. I do! I offer both hair and/or makeup services for your wedding party, including maids / matrons of honor, bridesmaids, parents and grandparents who want to look their best in the wedding photos.

Q. Can you cover tattoos / scars?
A. Yes.  Rates vary on size, please inquire.

Q. How much will it cost?
A. As no two weddings are the same, pricing depends on location and size of the wedding party.  My rates reflect my experience, travel time, preparing tools and products, product replacement and labor time.

Q. Do you do both makeup & hair?
A.  Yes!  You have the option to book either both makeup & hair, makeup only or hair only.

Q. Other than bridal makeup, have you done makeup for other types of media?
A. Yes!  I've done countless commercial, catalog, advertising and even some film work in my career as a makeup artist.  I've been published in several magazines (online & print) and even had the pleasure of working with a few celebrities.  I also provide services for Engagement Photos, Maternity Photos, Senior Photos, Headshots and Family Portraits.

Q. What kind of makeup do you use?
A. Only the best!  I use professional products in my kit.  You many not recognize most of the brand names I use and that's because they are professional and not consumer based.  These brands have amazing blend-ability and finish.  They are high performance and the best in longevity. You'll be surprised how much you won't have to touch up.

Q. How much time will it take?
A. Usually about 30 minutes - 1 hour per person (depending on the services booked) and a little extra time for the bride.  It is her day after all.  If getting hair done in a salon, I recommend getting it done before makeup that way if there is any product residue, such as hairspray, I can remove it so it won't interfere with your perfect look.

Q. What is needed to book you?
A. A signed contract and a 50% retainer are required to reserve your date (first come, first served).  No dates will be reserved without a contract and deposit.  I accept Credit Cards, and Cash.

Q. How far in advance should I book your services?
A. The sooner the better!  Most brides typically book between 6 - 8 months in advance but booking a year or more in advance is okay too!

Q. Do you honor last minute requests?
A. Yes.  Although booking in advance is suggested, I understand that last minute changes/plans do occur.  I will make every effort to honor last minute requests given that I am available for the date requested.

Q. Do you accept tips?
A. Gratuities are left to your discretion and are not reflected in my pricing. However, they are always greatly appreciated if you feel you have received excellent service.

Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. Yes.  The cancellation policy can be found on the Bridal Agreement Form that is e-mailed to you and can be discussed at the time of your consultation.
